It’s been a long while since we sent an email to our many subscribers–after two years of regularly sending them out, we fell off th eface of the Earth for a while. It feels good to be back!!!
Do you ever realize that it’s been a while since you’ve been in touch with an old friend?
That happened to us this year; we haven’t sent an X Marks the Spot email since April. We wanted to, we meant to . . .
We’d say to ourselves, “Oh, how embarrassing, what should we say . . . ”
Or, “hey, a friend just said he missed the emails, we really need to send one . . . ”
And sometimes we’d even write a draft email, but it never seemed quite right . . .
Sound familiar?
But, how to escape? Well, Barak stumbled on the easy way out as he was thinking about his year, getting curious about all of the treasures he’d found, and the people in his life who are a treasure.
Just say what you want to say.
Hey, sorry we haven’t been in touch. We’ve been thinking about you. Have a very Happy New Year. We’re looking forward to staying in touch in 2011.
Barak, Paul and Carol
p.s.: Here’s something you can do right now to make this last week of the year the very best: Choose one person you’ve been out of touch with … and you’re feeling bad about that. Then get in touch! Send a letter or email. Call or text. Do that for one person a day for the rest of the year.
p.p.s.: And what have we been up to? We’ve been inventing Time Native, the curious person’s alternative to time management. It will help you focus on what matters, get things done, enjoy life … and do it in a way that’s natural and easy for you. The eBook is at the editor’s, and we’ll be sending you a free copy when it’s done. And, we’ll be staying in touch!
